Acclaimed young adult author and TV personality David Walliams is no longer with his publisher HarperCollins UK, according to an announcement.

An official for the company said: "Upon deliberation, and under the leadership of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish any new titles by David Walliams."

Media sources suggest that the decision was made after an inquiry regarding claims about conduct deemed unsuitable towards female individuals.

The company declined to specify the motivations for this action, stating: "We refrain from speaking about confidential company decisions."

An Illustrious Publishing History

Walliams stands as a most successful children's authors, with sales exceeding more than 60 million copies globally in dozens of tongues.

His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins in 2008.

A number of his works, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as TV movies.

He has published in excess of 40 works in total, including a holiday title titled *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins last autumn.

Television and Literature

His initial claim to fame came on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He was awarded an OBE in 2017 in recognition of his work for philanthropic and artistic endeavors.

The publisher's decision comes after the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive in October.
