The New England Patriots equaled their longest winning run since the Tom Brady era as they defeated AFC East opponents the New York Jets by 13 points in professional football

First-year standout TreVeyon Henderson shone brightly with three scores as the Patriots secured an eighth straight win for the initial occasion since iconic QB Tom Brady's final season with the franchise in the 2019 season

QB Maye accumulated 281 yards and a touchdown, connecting on 25 out of 34 attempts

The triumph increases the New England's lead at the summit of the division as they moved to a 9-2 record, with the Jets at the foot after dropping to a 2-8 mark

The Jets had taken the lead at their home field with QB Fields rushing for a five-yard TD to conclude the New York's initial series

But the New England answered in the second period as the rookie rushed for two short rushing scores before the running back caught a pass from Drake Maye at the back of the end zone midway through the third quarter to make it 21-7

"That was a big time for him delivering, and it's been fantastic for him to keep getting these reps," Maye said of the rookie. "He aims to be outstanding."

Fields threw to Metchie late in the third quarter to narrow the deficit for the Jets but Borregales kicked a two field goals in the fourth quarter as the home side sealed the victory
